For the women with a spirit of summer and a vintage soul.

Lili & Do is a clothing label that draws inspiration from vintage aesthetics and reimagines them for the modern woman, infusing classic silhouettes to create a collection of timeless and graceful pieces. The label is created and designed for the sun chasers with a spirit of summer and a vintage soul. Every collection is a celebration of carefree days and chasing the warmth of summers past.
ABOUT US
Founded by Mel, the label echoes her style and adoration for classic silhouettes in vintage-inspired prints and designs meant for sun-drenched days (having lived in a tropical climate her whole life). Her penchant for iconic fashion eras in the 1950s to ‘60s sparked her interest in launching Lili & Do. Drawing inspiration from the past and present, each dress tells a story of perpetual grace and charm. From delicate floral prints to playful polka dots, our pieces evoke a sense of nostalgia while exuding a modern, summery twist.
HOW WE STARTED
Lili & Do started as a passion project that eventually turned into a full-time business. I have always considered starting a business before entering the corporate world, so after being in the e-commerce industry for 10 years and having experience in the e-commerce lifecycle, I kickstarted my entrepreneurship journey.
It was a journey of experimenting – (roping in two partners) we started venturing into vintage-inspired accessories but faced challenges with the materials, designs, and a suitable manufacturer. A few months later, we explored ballet flats and Maryjane made with suede and leather but were limited by the high quantities we had to produce. After a year of sample-making and exploration, we wrapped up our ideas and focused on where our hearts truly were.
This odyssey began with purchasing curated pieces during our trips around Asia and reselling them on our brand site. It was a year of new learnings and experiences. In the year, we learned about the different types of fabrics, picked up sewing, explored fabric markets, started designing and sketching, attended digital marketing courses, picked up photography, and understood the lifecycle of creation, production, and distribution.
It was during this process that we fell in love with natural fabrics, and had a better understanding of their benefits, comfort, texture, and how they feel on our skin in this tropical climate. We began piecing together our sketches and samples of fabrics we bought during our fabric shopping trips around Asia. With these, we manufactured our designs, and our work was launched under the Lili & Do label around the end of 2022.
Our brand is one of nostalgia, warmth, joyous spirit, and a deep love for the magic of summer. Embrace the spirit of endless sunshine and carefree joy as you step into our world of vintage-inspired fashion – a collection that will transport you to idyllic beachside escapes, sun-soaked picnics, and carefree summer adventures. Let our work be your companion through the adventures - weaving together the threads of past and present, and reminding you to cherish every summer moment with grace.
OUR COMMITMENT
Our commitment to quality and sustainability is woven into the very fabric of our brand. We source premium, eco-friendly fabrics to ensure that our pieces are not only good for us but also gentle on the planet. Each piece is made with the utmost care that can withstand the test of time.
Being socially responsible is a continual work in progress. Lili & Do puts in resources to do better. Our team works with manufacturers and suppliers who produce environmentally friendly, recycled, or natural fabrics/materials for our products and packaging that’s good for the Earth.
Since 2023, all our pieces have been made with natural fabrics (both the outer fabric and the lining). They are breathable, kind to your skin, hypoallergenic, durable, biodegradable, and suitable for the sunniest climate. We produce our garments in small batches to reduce wastage and minimize environmental footprint, and would only produce more when needed.
